Meet the Gardener behind The Granary Garden
The seed was planted years earlier when I moved to Leeds for work and filled my apartment with houseplants. My first, intuitive act of creating a green space of my own. When my now-husband proposed, I decided I wanted to grow and arrange my own wedding flowers. That spark led me to enrol on a Create Academy floristry course with Willow Crossley, and a year later, I became my own wedding florist, making all the bouquets and floral arrangements by hand for our wedding.

Soon after, we bought our first home together — complete with a nine-bed allotment and the joy of growing vegetables began. When I became a mother, my outlook on life shifted entirely. I knew I needed a career rooted in connection, creativity, and nature.

I started out working for a local garden maintenance company, then joined the WRAGs scheme through the WFGA, alongside studying for my RHS Level 2 qualification at Askham Bryan College. That decision changed everything and brought me to where I am now, doing the work I love every single day.
Where you'll see my gardening journey today
You’ll find me working hands-on in private gardens across Yorkshire pruning, planting, and tending borders through the seasons.
Alongside my gardening work, I also design gardens and planting schemes, with a focus on creating spaces that feel grounded, beautiful, and in tune with nature.
I also share parts of this journey over on Instagram the quiet moments, the muddy boots, and the transformations that happen one plant at a time.
